CodeCoin Wallet Privacy Policy
1Who We Are and How to Contact Us
CODE COIN is the developer of the CodeCoin app. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or account and data deletion requests, contact freemanbgk01@gmail.com.
Please identify the app and use your registered email when contacting us. Never send your recovery phrase, private key, password or verification code.
2Information We Access and Collect
Account information: email address, password hash, optional display name, email-verification and authentication records necessary to register, sign in and protect your account.
If you choose Google sign-in, the account email, profile name and identity token you authorise are used to authenticate you. If you enable passkey authentication, we store the credential identifier and public key needed to verify authentication; biometric templates stay with your device.
Wallet information: public wallet addresses, chain identifiers, wallet nicknames, signed messages and transaction references you submit. Wallet binding uses a signature to verify control of a public address. The binding service does not receive your recovery phrase or plaintext private key.
Technical information: IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, request and diagnostic logs, used for service operation, security, compatibility and troubleshooting. Local settings and session tokens are stored in the app sandbox or browser storage.
Optional service information: when you use supported campaigns, we process referral relationships, participation records and reward status. When you choose to link an exchange account or provide bank-withdrawal details, we process the credentials or session tokens and bank or payment details you provide to perform the requested service. Connected providers may separately collect identity-verification information under their own privacy policies. Support requests include the information you send us.
3Device Permissions and Wallet Security
Camera access is used for QR scanning after permission is granted. NFC access supports card interactions you initiate. Biometric authentication is handled by the operating system; the app receives an authentication result and does not receive your fingerprint or face template.
Wallet key generation and signing take place on your device. Protect your device and recovery information. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored wallet data and settings. Blockchain transactions and public addresses remain visible on their networks.
4How We Use Information
We use information to provide account access, wallet binding, the transactions and optional services you request, campaign participation, support and recovery of account access; to prevent abuse and protect service security; to diagnose errors; and to meet applicable legal obligations. Activity notifications are sent according to your choices.
5Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information needed to operate the service may be processed by cloud-hosting, email-delivery and security providers. Public addresses and transaction data are sent to blockchain RPC providers or networks when you request balances or submit transactions. Information required for a connected payment or exchange service is shared with the provider you choose, including ex.io when you use that integration.
When you choose to connect a decentralised application through WalletConnect/Reown, connection and session metadata, your public wallet address and the requests you approve are processed by the connection service and the selected application. Review the connection request before approving it.
The app uses the DCloud/uni-app runtime for mobile functionality and Android or Apple system services for device security and authentication. Embedded components process information needed for the features they provide. Third-party websites opened from the app, including eSIM and payment services, have their own privacy policies. Review those policies before providing them with information.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid request from a competent authority, or when you authorise a disclosure.
6Storage, Retention and Security
Account and service records are stored in databases controlled by the service operator. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Network communication uses HTTPS, and native wallet storage uses device security facilities. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Account information is retained while needed to operate your account. Service, payment and security records are retained for the purposes for which they were collected and any applicable legal obligations. A deletion request covers associated off-chain personal data; any required retention exceptions will be explained when the request is handled. Public blockchain records cannot be deleted or changed by us.
Service providers may process information in other countries. Contact us for questions about the processing of your information or to exercise the privacy rights applicable to you.
7Your Rights and Account or Data Deletion
You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or closure of your CodeCoin account, subject to applicable law. Send a request from your registered email to freemanbgk01@gmail.com with the subject “CodeCoin account and data deletion”. Identify whether you want to delete your account and associated personal data or particular data. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request; do not include wallet secrets or authentication codes.
Account deletion concerns service-account information and associated off-chain data. It does not reverse transactions or erase public blockchain history. Back up the wallet recovery information you need before clearing local app data.
8Children and Policy Updates
CodeCoin is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request review and deletion. We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The latest policy is available on this page; material changes will also be communicated through the app or account channels.
