[Astana, Kazakhstan, 10 September 2026] Global payments technology company CodeCoin participated in Astana Finance Days 2026 (AFD), where Founder and CEO Benny delivered a keynote address on stablecoins, cross-border payments, AI-agent payments and next-generation global payment infrastructure. Benny announced that CodeCoin had secured a stablecoin issuer license from the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA). CodeCoin also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Altyn Bank (Subsidiary Bank of China CITIC Bank Corporation). Representatives of participating institutions including Mastercard, Citi and China International Capital Corporation (CICC) attended the event and witnessed the signing.

The stablecoin issuer license marks an important step in CodeCoin's global compliance strategy. Benny said the company has placed compliance and real payment needs at the center of its approach from the outset. CodeCoin aims to combine regulatory authorization, established financial infrastructure and digital technology to address persistent challenges in cross-border payments, including cost, settlement time, transparency and access to funds. For CodeCoin, stablecoins are more than digital assets; their broader role is to support corporate payments, settlement and treasury operations.

Benny said new payment methods could shorten fund-transfer times, improve real-time visibility and allow settled funds to be used more quickly in the next business transaction. “Holding crypto is just numbers on a balance sheet. But using stablecoins for daily payments actually changes how a business runs every single day,” he said. This view shapes CodeCoin's product focus: technology must serve real commercial activity and move funds more safely, efficiently and predictably within a compliant framework.

CodeCoin describes its broader vision as “Web5,” connecting established financial systems with emerging digital payment networks. Conventional cross-border payments can involve high fees, long settlement cycles, restricted service hours and multiple intermediaries. Digital payment networks, meanwhile, must resolve questions of regulation, security, identity, accountability and user experience before they can support adoption at scale. CodeCoin therefore plans to use regulated operations and financial-institution partnerships as the basis for payment products that enterprises can use in daily business.

The company positions itself as a provider of multi-currency payment infrastructure for businesses and individuals worldwide. Its services target corporate, merchant and remittance use cases, with the goal of simplifying cross-border settlement, reducing foreign-exchange and intermediary friction, and offering more adaptable routes in underserved markets. Security and risk management are part of that foundation. CodeCoin says its information security management system achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification in April 2026, and it incorporates fund segregation, auditable payment processes, traceable transaction records, compliance controls and anti-money-laundering frameworks into its operations.

CodeCoin is also exploring payment requirements for an AI-agent economy. Benny said that as AI agents become able to execute tasks, call services and complete commercial transactions, payment permissions, digital identity, accountability and transaction records will become essential infrastructure. AI agents should operate within company-defined spending limits, approved counterparties, time windows and authorization rules, with every payment linked to a clear identity and audit trail. “The real issue isn't trusting the software; it's about who takes the blame. The company is always responsible, never the code,” he said.

Hong Kong is CodeCoin's operating base and headquarters. The company is developing compliance and business networks across markets through banking partners, corporate clients, merchants and payment corridors. Systems previously built and operated by members of its management team reached more than 70 countries and served over one billion users. Those figures describe the team's prior experience rather than CodeCoin's current direct market coverage. The company has also outlined a CodeCoin Card offering designed for its ecosystem with support for Visa, JCB and UnionPay networks.

The Altyn Bank MOU is an important step in deepening CodeCoin's local financial cooperation in Kazakhstan. Altyn Bank is a bank controlled by China CITIC Bank in Kazakhstan, combining a local banking network with financial links between China and Central Asia. The parties will explore opportunities in fintech, cross-border payments, digital finance and related applications. The presence of representatives from Mastercard, Citi, CICC and other AFD participants at the signing also reflected industry attention to regional finance and cross-border payment connectivity.

For a stablecoin business, regulatory authorization is only the first step. The ability to connect with banks, enterprises, merchants and real trade flows determines whether the technology can develop into practical payment infrastructure. CodeCoin's parallel progress in licensing, industry engagement and banking cooperation sets out a path from regulatory access to commercial deployment.

Kazakhstan occupies an important position connecting China, Central Asia and European markets. CodeCoin has already developed cooperation in the country. Its official news center reports that in June 2026 the company signed a strategic cooperation MOU with the Alatau City Authority State Fund to support cross-border digital payment infrastructure linking the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Central Asia. The stablecoin issuer license and latest banking cooperation strengthen Kazakhstan's role in CodeCoin's international strategy.

Going forward, CodeCoin plans to build around compliance and cross-border payments while developing products and partnerships in stablecoins, corporate payments, international trade settlement, AI-agent payments and multi-currency fund movement. By coordinating banking systems, regulatory frameworks and digital payment technologies, the company aims to bring new payment methods into everyday enterprise operations and use Kazakhstan as an important hub connecting Central Asian and Eurasian markets.
