CodeCoin Co-Hosts China-Bahrain New Energy and Blockchain Salon and Forms Strategic Partnership with AAOIFI

On April 22, the "China-Bahrain New Energy and Blockchain Innovation Technology Salon" was held in Shenzhen. The event was organized by the Centre for Business Technology and Innovation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, co-hosted by Hengbi International Technology Limited (CodeCoin), and supported by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). Representatives from industry, financial institutions, and technology companies in China and Bahrain discussed the integration of new energy and blockchain innovation, and witnessed the formal signing of a strategic cooperation agreement.
Speaking as co-host, CodeCoin CEO Huang Jianbin (Benny) said China holds a globally leading position in photovoltaic manufacturing and battery technology, while Bahrain is at the forefront of the Middle East in financial regulation and Islamic finance innovation — making the two highly complementary. He emphasised that CodeCoin is driven by both compliance capability and underlying technology, and is using blockchain payment infrastructure incorporating quantum encryption to provide more efficient and more secure cross-border payment, clearing and settlement services for real trade scenarios such as new energy.
H.E. Ibrahim, former Minister of Housing of Bahrain, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain and former Deputy Minister of Finance, delivered remarks as a representative of the supporting organisation, sharing Bahrain's experience in financial regulation and the development of Islamic finance and expressing strong expectations for China–Bahrain cooperation.
During the salon, CodeCoin and AAOIFI formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement on blockchain finance and Islamic finance. AAOIFI is the authoritative standard-setting body for compliance in Islamic finance; its standards framework helps improve the Shariah compliance, transparency and market credibility of financial products and can accelerate their entry into global Muslim markets. The signing marks CodeCoin's intention to plan Shariah-compliant blockchain financial products within the AAOIFI framework, addressing the long-standing challenge of Shariah compliance certification in Islamic financial markets.
Prior to this, CodeCoin had received preliminary approval for a stablecoin issuance licence from the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) in Kazakhstan, pending final authorisation to commence operations, and is advancing quantum-encryption upgrades to its payment products. The strategic partnership with AAOIFI further extends the company's compliance footprint in the Middle East and Islamic finance markets. CodeCoin says it will continue to give equal weight to compliance and technical innovation, drawing on a multi-jurisdiction licensing strategy, quantum-encryption security architecture and the AAOIFI compliance framework to bring cross-border payment infrastructure to scale in real scenarios such as new-energy trade and Islamic finance.
